The Freedom of Choice in Health Care Act
The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) is an excellent resource for information on what is going on at the state level. In the fight to protect the rights of individuals and patients, ALEC launched an initiative to put their Freedom of Choice in Health Care Act in as many states as possible. Their map of the 50 states indicates which states have filed legislation that seeks to block Obamacare, which states have active citizen initiatives, and which states have announced their intention to file legislation. The Health Care Freedom Act
The U.S. Coalition for Health Freedom is the group that came up with the idea of the state ballot initiative to protect our health care freedom. The idea behind the Arizona Health Care Freedom Act was first conceived by Dr. Eric Novack in 2006. They’ve now expanded to 41 other states. This ballot initiative, the Health Care Freedom Act, would ensure that health care is centered on patients, not a huge, interventionist federal government.
